Their captain said they weren't used to losing at home but today Sidcup were well beaten by Team West Malling 6 - 1.
Leading the way was Debbie Conder who overcame her dislike for the course to beat her opponent 7 & 6, and great wins for Caroline Harrison (5 & 4) and Sue Stickland and Kelly Hanson (both 5 & 3) secured the win. Helen Venis finished on top in her match in a very competitive game with old West Malling member Nicky Dixey and Lindsay Hart came from 4 down to win 6 holes in a row and take her match 2 up. Carol Eldridge came up against an opponent who is yet to lose this year and found her too hot to handle going down 8 & 6.
A fantastic result today ladies, you all overcame your reservations about the Sidcup course to produce a convincing win putting us in a great position to move through to the next round. The job will still need to be finished next week but another performance like this one will see us through.
