KNOLE PARK JOLLY!
What a fantastic day! The course was great and so was the company. Thanks to Brenda & Helen for arranging it and getting the weather spot on! Hope you can do the same with the weather for the next match!

Sidcup Course Information
I have received the following information from Sidcup
" Our match on Friday 1st April will be teeing off on the mats. Your girls may find that the grass tees are being used when they go for their practice round but this is not permanent (it depends on the weather - if we get any wet days then the mats are used) also our winter course is measured from the mats - so - all matches are still being played from the mats. Please let your ladies know this so that they can practice from the mats.
Hope this makes sense!! "

KNOLE PARK 25th March
All set for our day out at Knole Park. Please arrive between 1015 and 1030. Food and drink available at 1030.
We will play in threeball teams and our first tee time is 11.20. There will be prizes!
Please bring your County Cards with you and if you could have £25 or £30.50 (depending on whether you are eating) in cash on the day, it would make life simpler.
A reminder that Knole Park is a traditional club (in the nicest sense) so jeans are not acceptable wear in the lounge.

Provisional dates for our matches are:
31st March or 1st April at Sidcup
Friday 8th April at West Malling
Please can you confirm your availability for these dates so we can finalise them with Sidcup.
The match arranged against the vets on the 29th March has been cancelled and we have now arranged to go to Sidcup on that day for our practice match (10.30 start) and hopefully most of you will be able to make that.
The vets were disappointed that we cancelled their match and asked if we could play them next Tuesday 22nd March instead so again can you let me know if you can make this.
To make it easy for my ageing brain I have put up separate posts for each event and I would ask you to add your details to each one.
Any problems please give me a call.

It's SIDCUP
The information we were given about the date of the final group match between Knole Park and Sidcup was incorrect. This match was played last Friday and won by SIDCUP making them our opponents in the next round.
So that we can sort out some possible dates for next months matches can you please add the details of your availability to the appropriate post as quickly as possible. Sidcup also allow courtesy rounds so we will plan those in as well and let you have the proposed dates as soon as possible.
Thanks

Our Opponents in the Next Round
Our next round opponents are going to be decided at the very last game to be played in the group and is the match being played in front of us on our away day at Knole Park on the 25th Mach 2011 between Knole Park and Sidcup!
Sidcup were defeated 4-3 at Birchwood Park on the 2nd March leaving them with 4 wins out of 5 matches whilst Knole Park have won 3 matches out of 5. Knole Park have however won both their home matches 6-1 and if repeat this score against Sidcup they would win the group.
Should be an interesting day!!

Availablility for next months matches
As soon as we know who we are going to play in the next round I will try and sort out the dates for the matches. This is of course a home and away match (and hopefully a practice round) and they will have to be played by the 30th April 2011.
So that I can arrange the matches when we have the majority of the team available could you please let me know if there are any dates that you are not available to play in April. Please add the details to this post and if you are available for any date please add this as well so that I don't chase you for the information.
Many thanks

A 4-3 win at Redlibbets yesterday saw Team West Malling move into the next round of the Pearson Trophy with a 100% winning record.
Leading the way this week was Julie Harris with a very impressive 6 & 4 win and the battle of the Three Feathers Champions was won by Helen Venis with a great 5 & 4 win over Kam Cheema. Our other winners were Caroline Harrison who saw off former West Malling member Ray Grint 4 & 3 and Sue Stickland who stuck it out to win on the 18th.
Jane Woodward came up against the only Redlibbets lady to win at West Malling last week and found her too hot to handle going down 5 & 4 and both Carol Eldridge (3 & 2) and Lindsay Hart (1 down) both suffered their first defeats of the season.
Well done ladies a great team performance to maintain your winning streak. It was a pleasure to be with you yesterday and see your continued enthusiasm for the Pearson competition. And to those of you who lost yesterday don't be too hard on yourselves, you have had a great season so far.
Thanks also to our supporters on the day, Judith and Debbie Conder who spent the whole day at Redlibbets taking advantage of the excellent food and friendly service.
We now have to wait to see who we play in the next round and as soon as I know this I will post the details on the BLOG.
