New Member

We have a new member in our pearson squad, Jeannette Johnson who scored a very impressive 42 points in yesterdays Stableford competition showing that she is bang in form.
Jeannete will be joining group 4 for the round robin matches making the group as follows:

Pat West, Stella Pitt, Marie Uttley, Margaret Barnard & Jeannette Johnson.

Hope you are all managing to get out to play some golf as November will be on us in a flash and we need to get some matchplay practice.

REVISED Round Robin Groups

I have decided to re-jig a couple of the round robin groups to help those ladies that play mainly at weekends to arrange some practice matches. The revised groups are:

Group 1
Brenda Wilson, Jane Woodward, Kelly Hanson, Debbie Tennant & Helen Stuart

Group 2
Viv Allen, Helen Cornwell, Judith Parkhurst, Rena Jones & Helen Venis

Group 3
Pat Donovan, Caroline Harrison, Christine Pearce, Ray Grint & Debbie Conder

Group 4
Pat West, Stella Pitt, Marie Uttley & Margaret Barnard

I hope this will not affect any matches already arranged and that you will appreciate the reason for the change.

Our Next Meeting

will be on Thursday 8th October when we can update you on the fixtures for this season. We will be playing golf first then get together over lunch to see how things are going. I hope you can join us.

Round Robin Groups

The squad has been divided up into 4 round robin groups and all ladies are asked to play the other ladies in their group by the end of October. The matches should of course be matchplay with full difference in handicap being allowed.

Matches can be arranged for our Get Together Days on 8th & 22nd October or at any other time agreed between yourselves.

The results of the matches will give an indication of those players currently in form and will assist in team selection. Please however take time to enjoy your games as the serious stuff will come later for those chosen to play in our first match.

Meeting Wednesday 23rd September 2009

A Big Thank You to all the ladies who came to last nights meeting and also to Brenda for allowing us to have the meeting at her beautiful house. There was lots of discussion around our preparation for the forthcoming season with the key points being:

• the launch of our new BLOG to keep all squad members up to date at all times
• the introduction of round robin groups to get us match fit and to also find the players in form
• Agreement of dates for future get togethers in October
  

Thank you for all your input, I hope you found it worthwhile.

Who do we have to play?

Well we won't know that until Monday 5th October when we go to the fixtures meeting at Bearsted Golf Club. As soon as we have this information we will let you know. Watch this Blog for more details.
