The freezing cold weather was not enough to stop Team West Malling notching up another very impressive win. Wearing our new purple jumpers we beat Rochester & Cobham 7 - 0 scoring 26 points in the process.
Impressive wins for Debbie Tennant (4 & 3) Kelly Hanson (3 & 2) Helen Venis (4 & 2) Pat Donovan (1 up) Rena Jones (6 & 5) Carol Eldridge (4 & 3) and Julie Harris (4 & 2) left the Rochester & Cobham team demoralised and probably wishing this match had been cancelled just like the first match against them earlier in the month.
There are lots of reasons why individuals should be pleased with their performance, Kelly & Debbie for turning around last weeks defeats, Pat for coming into the team and sticking in there to win on the 18th, Helen & Rena for continuing their impressive performances this season, Carol for remembering the score this week in another great win and Julie for winning her first Pearson match whilst losing 3 shots off her handicap.
Ladies you were awesome today - well done.
We have had a terrific start to the season winning 2 home matches and now need to concentrate on our next match away to Woodlands. If we can get something from this match and our next game away at Rochester & Cobham in February we will know we really are in contention again this season.
