The match against Sidcup which was due to be played tomorrow (30th) at Sidcup, has been postponed for the second time due the weather. I think I speak for all the team when I say Yipee!!!
Hope fully when new dates are offered they will be in March or April.

The confirmed date for the delayed Sidcup match is Thursday 30th January, 10 for 10.30.

Courtesy rounds are available on Monday 6th or Wednesday 8th January.
We thought we could make it an away day, taking anyone who would like to play, whether you play Pearson or are just a supporter. We know it's not the best of courses but thought it might be fun!

We played at Chestfield GC yesterday, in our third match, we needed to win this one, AND WE DID!! Well done ladies.
Helen Venis lead the team out, she played very well against a tough opponent, all square after 18. She played the 19th beautifully, to secure our first win.
Donna Chuter giving 3 shots, played in her usual determined style, she too was all square after 18 but fought hard to win on the 20th.
Caroline Harrison played two practice rounds at Chestfield and her dedication paid off, winning 2up.
The rookie of the team, Gina Wilson is loving every minute of this match play competition, playing well again to win 2up.
Unfortunately on this occasion Sue Gofton, Carol Eldridge and Diana Scott gave their all but to no avail. So the final score was 4 - 3.
Come on WM!
This was our last match of 2013, our next is away to Sidcup GC on Thursday 16th January 2014.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR

We played our first home match today against Sundridge Park.
Caroline lead the team out and won 4 and 3, Julie lost 2 and 1 against a very steady opponent.
Sue G, was 4 down, but then won the next 6 holes to take the match on the 18th. Gina in her first Pearson match for WM, played well but was beaten 4 and 3, Gill battled hard and lost on the 18th but had more fun than us all!! Carol E was down but came back as usual, only to lose on 18th.
Diana bringing up the rear in great style with a 4 and 3 win.
Lisa enjoyed her game as reserve.

Not the best of weather for our first match of the season!!!
We always knew that Sundridge Park was going to be a tough match and it was.
Helen Venis played the opening shot for West Malling, giving 2 shots to a very steady opponent was not easy and Helen lost 2 down.
New to the team was Donna Chuter, a baptism of fire comes to mind, she had to give 6 shots!
Donna had never played the course before and at one point was 7 down, but rallied to lose 3 and 2.
Caroline Harrison also had a tough match giving 5 shots, taking the match to the 19th in pouring rain be not quite able to win.
Julie Harris had to give 2 shots but dug deep to win on the 18th.
Sue Gofton gave 3 shots and also took her match to the 19th, in heavy rain, unfortunately losing her ball, she had to play 3 off the tee, but a great effort.
Carol Eldridge lost 4 and 3, with Diana Scott last but no means least winning 4 and 3.
So we lost overall 5 - 2, but with a points difference of only 6.
Well done ladies!!
