A 6 - 1 win at home to Park Wood today leaves Team West Malling in a good position to progress to the quarter finals of this years competition.
Park Wood fielded the expected high handicappers which meant that our first four ladies all had to give at least 5 shots but they all ran out winners except for Pat Donovan who was brought in at the last minute to replace Rena Jones and lost her match on the 18th to a stunning drive from her opponent giving Park Wood their only points (2) of the match.
Our winners were Debbie Conder (2 & 1), Caroline Harrison (3 & 1), Lindsay Hart (4 & 3), Stella Pitt (7 & 6), Julie Harris (4 & 3) and Carol Eldridge who performed her usual Houdini trick coming from 3 down and winning the last 4 holes to win on the 18th. Our points score was 21.
Well done ladies - another fantastic team performance especially as you all had to give shots!
The return match is at Park Wood on Monday 23rd April 2012 with an 11.30am start. Our team will be finalised after the Practice Rounds next Tuesday and Thursday.
Well done team you are all fantastic!!!
