Our Get Together on 22nd October

A BIG thank you to all those ladies who attended yesterdays get together either playing or just coming for lunch. In particular it was great to see Ray Grint joining us for the first time. Ray has played Pearson for Red Libbets and is a very useful addition to our squad so welcome Ray, I hope you enjoyed yourself yesterday.

Items discussed included our ongoing preparation for the Chart Hills match and also some dates for your diaries which include our next Get Together on Sunday 1st November and a match against the "Elite" Vets on Tuesday 3rd November. I will just deal with the Chart Hills match here and put up separate posts for the other two items.

Our first match is just 3 weeks away and because Chart Hills do not allow a curtesy round we will need to pay if we want to have a practice round. This is quite expensive so people quite rightly only want to go if they are going to be playing in the match. I have therefore decided to announce the definite picks for this match who are:

• Debbie Conder
• Caroline Harrison
• Helen Venis
• Stella Pitt

I will annouce the final two players on the 1st November as previously arranged and hope this will not cause any problem.

Debbie Conder has done a lot of work on a guide on how to play Chart Hills and I would like to send a BIG THANK YOU to Debbie for this. Caroline is playing at Chart Hills next week and will use the guide. Hopefully we will get some feedback on how it goes.

We have also obtained a Golf Rules DVD which should be viewed by all. We are in the process of getting further copies so will make sure they are passed round to all squad players as soon as possible.
