Hi Helen,
Met some West Malling ladies at the Royal Ashdown Open yesterday, and they gave us the great news of West Malling becoming Pearson champions! Well done and many congratulations to you and your squad. I was very pleased for you all.
I'm not Pearson Captain anymore, but I remember the two seasons when we were in the same part of the draw, and our very close matches.

Chris Corke's Message to Kent's Pearson Captains
The Pearson Trophy has just come to its conclusion and with great news.
West Malling have won the Four County Finals for Kent.
They beat Hertfordshire in the semi final and Middlesex in the final.
They are a great team and we should be very proud of them all.

Finals Day
Well I hope none of you were on the golf course today getting caught in the torrential rain. I don't want next weeks team wiped out with pneumonia!!!
I thought I would confirm that the squad for next weeks Four Counties Final will be the same as North Foreland. So it is:

On Standby: Judith Parkhurst
As we have a couple of injuries I will confirm the team to play in the semi-final on Wednesday.
I am sure you will not have forgotten that you will need to be at West Malling Golf Club at 5.45am on Thursday so that the coach can leave at 6am. We have 22 people on the coach so after taking into account the 50% subsidy by the Ladies Section the cost for each person is £12.50. We will collect the money on the day. Hope that is OK.
I am off to Scotland for a few days but if anyone needs me they can get me on my mobile: 07974 345776.

Update on Finals Day
Thank you to all those ladies who attended our Get Together on Tuesday 26th June 2012. We had 12 ladies playing golf, including Lisa Kiddie who joined us for the first time, and a number of other ladies joined us for lunch.
Well done to Debbie Tennant, Stella and Helen Cornwell who won our team competition taking all the money!!
We were also able to give updates on the the following:
Travel Arrangements to Clandon Regis
Our coach is all booked and for those of you who missed Lady Captains Day The Ladies Section is to contribute 50% of the cost. We currently have about 10 seats spare on the coach so if you know anyone who would like to join us for the day can they let me know. We will let you know the cost as soon as numbers have been finalised but hopefully it will not be more than £16.
The coach will be at the golf club at 5.45am on Finals Day with a departure time of 6am. Please don't be late as we just do not know what the traffic on the M25 will be like!
We will be staying all day even if we do not make the Final in the afternoon and hope to depart between 6pm and 7pm.
Catering Arrangements at Clandon Regis
Hopefully you have all seen Judith's post about catering for the day (unfortunately Brenda is on holiday and will not be able to join us on Finals Day so Judith is stepping in to help in this area!). We need to pay for breakfast and lunch by the 13th July at the latest so if you have not yet paid please contact Judith asap. Whilst the team is provided with 7 free lunches we are asking everyone to pay and the extra money will be used to pay for drinks. Hope this is Ok.

And finally I would just mention that our BBQ on the 7th July is to celebrate the success of the West Malling Ladies Pearson Team. Unfortunately we are not able to open this up to partners. It should be a great night!
