It was a slightly subdued team that left Faversham today having lost 5 - 2. This result however should be good enough to get us through to the knockout stages of the competition so the team should be very very proud of their achievements. A fantastic 5 & 4 win for Caroline and a gutsy win on the 18th from Helen Venis (who had to give 11 shots!) gave us our two wins but a strong Faversham side took the other 5 matches showing that they are a tough side to beat at home.
Well done ladies and don't be too hard on yourselves - we have had a fantastic season to date and it hasn't finished yet as we will have to play two more matches by the 30th May. I hope you enjoyed your celebrations back at West Malling and you weren't too loud!!
I am so relieved that we managed to pull it off! It was a tough group to win but we got through to the next round. It has been an excellent effort through difficult weather this season by the whole squad.
