HAPPY NEW YEAR

We play our first match of the year away to Knole Park on Thursday 19 February.
A courtesy round had been booked for Tuesday 2 February, I was hoping to go with lots of players, myself included, but they are charging £40 a round, and that is using our county cards, I thnik you will agree,necessity for winter golf.

So with that in mind, could you please confirm you availability for the courtesy round and re-confirm your availability for the match.

We will be arranging courtesy/practice matches at both Knole and West Kent early in 2015, let's hope the weather is kind to us.

On Friday 5th December we played our last match of 2014, home to Gillingham.

Gillingham struggled to get a team together, they fielded a team of 5, this meant two of our ladies did not play in the match, thank you to Stella and Carol E for stepping down.

So we began the match already with two games won, it was a cold and damp day but our ladies where determined and we won. 7-0 and gaining 30 points.

Sue G had to give 2 shots and won 4 and 3
Georgina (LC) had to give 4 shots and won 7 and 6
Gina had to give 5 shots and won 5 and 4
Lesley had to give 7 shots and won 6 and 5
Diana had to give 4 shots and won 6 and 5

We played our 2nd Pearson match today, at home to Knole Park, and I am very happy to say we won.
It was a tough match in difficult conditions, but the final score was 4-3.

Out first was Helen Venis, winning 5 and 4 to get the team off to a great start, Sue Gofton played well but lost 3 and 2.  Then a run of wins with Carol Eldridge 2up, Gina Wilson 1up and Lisa Kiddie 4 and 3.  Carol Martin lost on 18 and Diana Scott lost 4 and 2.
Well done ladies!!!!

Today saw our team play the first match of the season, in the sunshine at Gillingham.

The team played with their usual enthusiasm, winning 4-3.

Caroline Harrison leading the team out, winning in style, 8 and 7

Carol Eldridge battled hard, losing on 18, Gina Wilson was 3 down, then she put her game face on 

and managed to win her match on the 18th.

New to Pearson was Leslie Shott, losing her match on the 17th didn't dampen the experience, she can't wait to play again.

Stella Pitt won 2 and 1, Lisa Kiddie drew the short straw in this match, she had to give 6 shots to a player who is obviously on her way down. Lisa played well but lost 4 and 2. 

Last but not least (again) Diana Scott, giving 4 shots won 5 and 3.

A fantastic result, our first win of many, I'm sure!!
