Littlestone Match

Waking up and finding no snow has really p...."d me off but having seen the pictures of the snow down in the Folkestone area I understand why Littlestone needed to call today's match off.
I have now re-arranged the match for Thursday 15th April and if it snows then we really will know we are not meant to play.
I hope those of you that got out to play today have had good rounds and that it wasn't too cold.
I will be posting next weeks team on the BLOG this afternoon.

Tomorrow's match

has been cancelled. Littlestone have been clobbered with the snow and many of the team are snowed in and unable to travel.
And we have no snow...............

Match V Littlestone Thursday 11th February

This match will go ahead weather permitting. The weather forecasts all say different things with some saying snow tonight and some saying it will not arrive until thursday night.
I will be checking with the club first thing in the morning to make sure the course is playable and if a decision is made to call the match off I will put it on the BLOG so please check. I am sure however it will be pretty evident whether the match is on when you wake up in the morning!

Littlestone are not keen to travel and if the match goes ahead they will not be staying for tea so it will just be us.

My apologies to Pat West for choosing her as reserve and then not playing her. The withdrawal of a lower handicapper to be replaced by a higher handicap would in my opinion not have worked and has made me think that I should choose two reserves for future matches, one high and one low handicapper which will cover all eventuality's. I hope this will be OK with everyone and that you will bear with me as I continue to find my way with the Captain's role.

Pat D - Sue will let you have her jumper tomorrow so you will not be the odd one out!

I hear that some of the team have turned in some excellent rounds of golf recently and I am looking forward to another excellent Pearson team performance tomorrow (weather please be good). Good luck, have FUN and don't forget to wrap up warm.

Practice Match v. 'Old Pearsons' Tuesday 23rd February!

Peggy has kindly suggested a practice match at West Malling for the team on 23rd February. If you are available to play in this please respond. She has seven on her team and said she hoped to 'dig someone else up'. I volunteered to play that person!!!

Vets Match on 9th February

Unfortunately this has been cancelled as the Vets are unable to get a team together due to other commitments. They are happy to play us on another date to be arranged.

Suggest we get there for 9am to get off before 1030 as they requested.

Change to Faversham Practice Round

Faversham cannot accommodate us on Thursday after all, due to a rescheduled competition.
I have therefore rebooked it for the next day Friday, 5th February to play BEFORE 10.30.
As Deb C and Caroline have booked weekend rounds, Faversham will allow 8 to play but we will have to pay for two @ £25 each. So I make that £5 each to spread the load.
If you are available to play the match on 18th Feb and the practice round on Friday next, could you respond asap to this post so that we can finalise placings.
